Daisy Verma (1989) is an Amsterdam-based actress with a captivating story and unique heritage. Born and raised in the Netherlands to a Polish mother and an Indian father, her multicultural upbringing shaped her perspective on life and fuels the depth she brings to her roles.
Before embracing her passion for acting, Daisy earned a Bachelor’s degree in International Business Administration and a Master’s in Marketing Management. She then embarked on a career in advertising and PR. However, at the age of 28, Daisy made a bold decision to follow her lifelong dream. She left her corporate job to pursue acting full-time, diving headfirst into intensive training focused on camera acting and improvisation.
Daisy has since built an impressive portfolio, appearing in commercials for global brands like Sensodyne, Heineken and Aldi. She has also made memorable guest appearances, including the short film Kippenkracht, which premiered at the Netherlands Film Festival as part of the NTR KORT! initiative, and the web series Edelfigurant, where she shared the screen with Frank Lammers and Loes Schnepper under the direction of Joosje Duk.
Her talents were further showcased in the Dutch feature film Happy Ending, also directed by Joosje Duk and currently streaming on Netflix. Most recently, Daisy played Theresa in Telling the Bees, a graduation film by fourth-year Willem de Kooning students.
In 2024, Daisy expanded her repertoire with roles in two high-profile productions: Máxima (season 2), set to stream on Videoland, and Nordin, which will premiere on Prime Video NL.
Passionate about honing her craft, Daisy is has been studying the Chubbuck acting technique this year and plans to deepen her training next year as well.
